    Great post you sound exhausted!

My little one had a great time and your house looked super spooky, a lot of effort was applied.

I loved the paper bag of goodies (rather than the usual horrid plastic ones) and where did you get those great greaseproof cake bags?

Much better than some grease-soaked kitchen paper...

Hello Andy, so glad Freya enjoyed it, My Mum fell utterly in love with her...

The little paper bags are from Asda, I use them for Finn's sandwiches, cos they are perfect little butty sized...

And yep I'm exhausted. Half term kills me!

When all's said and done, your house looked absolutely charming....love it when you share inside/and outside shots. :)

    You tickle me!

HAAAAA -- what I would have given to be there with my own spooky little one!!

What a perfect illustration of what it's like to throw a children's party -- weeks to prepare, feverish last-minute efforts, total chaos while it's ongoing and bewildered parents to try and behave normally in front of.

    Classic.....and your house looked AMAZING.

I love that you're getting a totally anomalous comment about "latex mattress toppers." *chuckle*

I am impressed. I still haven't ever really attempted a children's party of any kids and granted my oldest is only 3...still color me inspired...it might be time to follow in your footsteps for this next birthday in the spring.Your party looked amazing.

But you know, they always remember their parties ..... I think of my Dougal cake to this day (from the Magic Roundabout, we all fought about who was going to eat his bottom). It was especially fun when Deborah Barnes fell through the bannisters. All your effort will be rewarded one hundred fold in memories.

Oh my, that was a fun read! I feel like I was there. Sounds like a good little anecdote for a novel. Don't tell me you have't thought about that...

Wonderful decorations and food. I would have loved to go to a party like this when I was a child.
